I have heard that low carb is gaining a foothold with medical professionals
in Sweden.

There was one newspaper article a few weeks ago, about a doctor who
finally had been told that it was ok to recomment LCing to her
patients. She had been doing it for years and it had caused her some
problems.

Another article was about a group that was supposed to evaluate the
studies about LCing and make some recommendations about what the
authorities should say about it. Unfortunately some of the people in
the group were found to be employed by the food industry and this was
seen to be a problem. Of course it could be a problem, but it should
not had come as a surprise to anybody, those people had filled in the
form about "possible problems with impartiallity" when they started.
For some reason, way into the study, somebody decided that this really
is a problem.

Lisbeth.
