So to those drinking green tea on Atkins - does it help boost your weight loss?

I'm considering drinking it... how does this sound: 8 glasses of water a day
(to flush out the fat), and 1 cup of green tea each day?

Also, do you drink it as is, or add some Splenda? If so, how much?

I'm not. If anything, coffee can upset my stomach, if I have too much,
and cause me to eat.

Really, you too?
I can have a half the caffeine cup of coffee a day. With cream, and splenda.
Thats about it.

I had a bad time with the caffeine in the beginning. I figured out it triggered
sugar cravings. I can only handle the "lite" coffee.

So to those drinking green tea on Atkins - does it help boost your weight
loss?

University and lab studies around the world suggest that green tea
enhances your metabolism without elevating your heart rate hence
it assists in weight loss.

Here is one quote:

"Green tea has thermogenic properties and promotes fat oxidation beyond that
explained by its caffeine content per se,"

Got it from this article detailed article:

Do you know what kind of mixture to use? i.e., what proportion cream
and water?

I just ask for half heavy cream, half water, subbed for whatever amount
of half&half or skim they would normally use. BTW, coffee/caffeine have
never hurt me on Atkins, over nearly 5 years. YMMV. But green tea makes
me nauseated. YMMV with that too.

Based on an article she read in some magazine, my wife makes a gallon
of green tea with a tablespoon of lemon juice and a little splenda.
She drinks it iced three times a day. She also takes a calcium
supplement as recommened by the magazine article. It appears to be
working for her. She's been losing and average of 2 lbs. a week.
