I think the answer is that all else being equal if you eat more than you
need to maintain your weight you will gain weight.

Energy and mass are converted using E=MC2. One gram of fat is
enough energy to power industrial civilization for a year.


Of course human bodies just cause chemical reactions, not nuclear ones.
