Default I took the weekend off!

We had a great time!

Saturday we went up to Oxford to collect a friend of DH's, and took this
nice American to a good old fashioned English country pub for lunch. He
decided Sausage, Egg and Chips was his order for the day! I chose a
broccoli and cheese pasta bake, which came with garlic bread. Son James
ate one slice of the bread for me. I chose ice-cream for desert, but
only managed to eat half of it!

I'd made a nice beef casserole for dinner, which we ate with new
potatoes and fresh veg, and followed with cheese and biscuits: oat cakes
and whole wheat crackers. This was my downfall for the day! Well, that
and a pint of beer at lunchtime! I do love cheese (especially goat
cheese), but was reasonably careful.

Yesterday's lunch was the lamb soup, as my son was swimming in the
morning, and he and DH had a St George's Day Parade with the Scouts in
the afternoon. We had roast chicken and veg for dinner, including my
very nice but rather indulgent Cheesy Leeks, and followed with apple
crumble (or Grumble as we sometimes call it - they grumble that I
haven't made enough!).

My cooking was all low fat, my choices were as good as I could make
them, but I just didn't bother to count points. The diary says WEEKEND
OFF on those two pages!

Do I feel guilty? No! We had a great time!
Will I worry if the scales show a gain next weigh in? Nope! I'll be
good for the next 4 days, and hope they stay the same, but I ain't gonna
worry if they don't!

Next weekend is the Rochester Sweeps Festival*, and we have a house full
for three days (May Bank Holiday Weekend - a great British Tradition!).
Again, I'll cook according to Weight Watchers (except for the haggis!
Must work out the points for that!), make wise choices when out, and
get plenty of exercise!

*Rochester will have three days of wall to wall beer and Morris dancing
the length of the high Street.

Kate, I love your attitude. I took the weekend off too or at least I
did for my dinners in San Francisco. I was cautious though about
portions and not drinking too much and had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Also I walked from 9-4 on Saturday and then we walked in the evening.
Today I began with my usual WW breakfast of one egg scrambled with two
pieces of diced Canadian bacon, a cup of berries and lemon lift tea.
That tides me over nicely till noon.

Well if today's sneaky hop on the home scales is anything to go by, I
might just break even! They tend to weigh light... My official
weight from Thursday's weigh in was 149 lbs, and this lunchtime I was
146.5 lbs at home. But with three days to go, who knows what might
happen! I've got more important things to stress about!

I didn't get in all the exercise I'd have liked, what with not swimming
and spending quite a while in the car, but we did get one walk in, and I
drank a pint of beer and two glasses of wine and one of strong cider,
Those and the cheese are about the only things off points I actually
did, so the 'damage' is limited.
