Flavor Sprays
http://www.flavorspraydiet.com/flavors.html.
It sounds almost too good to be true. From the website: "Flavor Spray™ can be used with MOST diets... The Flavor Sprays contain zero calories, zero fat, and zero carbohydrates. Whether you are on a low carb, no carb, low fat, or counting calorie diet, the Flavor Spray makes it easy for you." And they come in about twenty or thirty flavors. I'm always looking for ways to cut a few calories from the foods I eat. If these things really are passable, then they might be a nice addition to my diet arsenal. But... that's a pretty big "if". So, have any of you heard of or tried these things? They aren't that expensive so I'm thinking of just jumping in and trying a few, but if I had any information about them that didn't come from their website that would be great. -- Annie As of 02-10-06: 258/200.5/140 Standing at 5 foot 4. 57.5 pounds lost. 60.5 left to go. I wonder if it's similar to "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray? If you decided to try one be sure to let us know how they are. I see from your sig line you're still on the downward march and fast approaching a milestone. Beverly |

I don't buy "not available in stores" TV products either, for obvious reasons. A patent pending food product? Never heard of such a thing. Imho, Andy |

Well, I see two big problems:
1) All is says on the ingredients is "natural and artificial flavors". Well, DUH! Some people have allergies to specific ingredients. I'm surprised they can even sell this stuff. 2) Not to sound harsh, but the chef's picture on the label IS FAT. He isn't exactly his own best advertising. |

I'm surprised they can even sell this stuff. I guesss I don't understand your objection to the ingredients label. The product also listed water, salt and sodium benzoate. All products use 'natural and artifical flavors' on the ingredient list if they're used. Artificial flavoring is used in many products and listed simply as 'artifical flavoring' on all labeling. http://science.howstuffworks.com/question391.htm 2) Not to sound harsh, but the chef's picture on the label IS FAT. It doesn't really matter. I avoid ALL artificial flavors, colors, etc.
if possible. That's just my preference. |

The variety of flavors is what pulled me in. Curiosity got the best of me. I've decided to order a few bottles of the flavors that sounded the best to me. I've gotten the Buttery Spray, Teriyaki Spray, Ranch Spray, and Marshmallow Spray. I know that they might turn out to be dreadful, but it's not like it cost me that much, and if they are okay then they might really jazz up my diet some. I hope. I did decide to try the buttery so that I could directly compare it with the buttery sprays available in the market (which don't taste like much of anything to me). And I don't really care about the artificial flavors part; I eat those all day anyways, no harm done so far. I understand that other people care a great deal about that sort of thing, but it just isn't something that I'm that concerned about. I'll report back. I see from your sig line you're still on the downward march and fast approaching a milestone. Thanks. Ya, I go up and down alot lately. Overall the trend is still downward, just not as fast as it was in the past. I've got no particular timetable set up to get into the 100's, but it sure will be nice to see that first digit change on the electronic scale when it does happen! -- Annie As of 02-10-06: 258/200.5/140 Standing at 5 foot 4. 57.5 pounds lost. 60.5 left to go. I don't worry about artificial flavors either :-). Chris 262/130s/130s started dieting July 2002, maintaining since June 2004 |
