Please provide at least some proof of this claim....

Just because someone says they are doing Atkins doesn't make it so.

What claim do you want proof for?

About the games, it sounds like this is not the 1st game you have played

in
your marriage. Maybe marriage counseling would be in order?

I would respectfully refer the Honourable Lady to the answer I gave earlier
to the Honourable Member for Luna Central:

Look, I won't speculate about your private life if you won't speculate

about
mine. ;-)

The one about being on the Atkins diet is a "health issue" apparently
supposed by this busines about individauls getting into severe medical
strife while ont he diet...and then the expectation that somone might be
rushed to the hospital unconscious because they were on the Atkins diet...

Eleven pounds off your 272 isn't really enough for most people to notice.

As for picking your way around the food, many people do that so it may not be
anything out of the ordinary for her. Or, she figures if there's a problem or
something you don't like, you'll tell her.

I do have to say, though, that from what you describe, it doesn't SEEM as if
you and your wife communicate much, or well. Length of the union doesn't have
anything to do with communication skills - I know a couple who have been
together 52 years and barely talk at all. If you've been together 20 years,
you've worked out a system that works for the two of you, whether it's
traditional or not.

Why do you assume you have enough information to make that statement? Let
the fellow have a little fun with trying to lose weight. His lady will know
soon enough.

And he used the term "playing games," which seems like an automatic red flag
for the ladies I can see that logic!

You may note, however, that I've left the previous smiley off this reply.
That is because your half-baked, pseudo-analytical, swivel-eyed, shallow,
flatulent, Reader's Digest quality, cartoon animadversions are baseless,
uninformed, impertinent, offensive, idiotic and wrong. Our 'system that
works' - as you buffoonishly describe it - involves constant communication,
skeins of honesty, oceans of empathy, dozens of shared interests, several
tolerated obsessions, countless infuriating characteristics, yards of
laughter, acres of loyalty and buckets of lurve.

So - next stop the matrimonial court, I guess!
