Default What do You Miss Most ?

Summer's coming and I've started thinking about the treat I truly love, a
"Tim Horton's" Iced Cappuccino .
Would anyone have a recipe for a thick, smooth, creamy, sweet coffee
flavoured Iced drink ?
breaks out a blender

This would be easy.

1 cup heavy cream
1 cup ice cold water
a few ice cubes
2 teaspoons instant coffee
2 packets splenda
2 tablespoons protein powder.
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa (optional)

Serves 2. :-)

What I miss (not the *most* but I miss them anyway) are the Mr. Misty
drinks from Dairy Queen. I have been having a heck of a time finding
sugar free syrups in my neck of the woods and since I do not have a
credit card I cannot order them online either.

If I had the syrups I could make something similiar in my blender
with ice and be happy with that.

I think I will have to call the new low carb store here in Hamilton
and see if they have them in yet. If so I can stock up on a couple
bottles of them for the summer.

Baked potatoes, cooked in the oven for a long time at high heat, skins
really really crisp, loaded with butter and salt.

Potatoes *are* an excellent butter delivery system. But the thought
of eating one makes me sick, I'm happy to announce!

I miss pancakes drenched in real maple syrup. This is probably because every
Sunday, my SO gets exactly that for breakfast. But I don't miss pancakes
enough to order them.

If I COULD, if I really could, I would sit down with a gallon of
chocolate-chip cookie dough ice cream covered with peanut butter and a large
bag of peanut M&Ms and veg out in front of the TV. And I'm gonna do that on
the day I reach my target weight.

And then start all over again, LOL!!!!

I miss less and less as time goes on. But I was at Taste Addison (a food/misic
festival type thing) and after a couple of lite beers, found myself ordering a
piece of tiaramisu (sp?). They were out thank goodness, I was out of my senses
enough to actually eat it. Now while I sure would enjoy a piece, I wouldn't be
crazy enough to eat one. I'm staying away from alcohol too, that was the first
time since I started LCing, and the 'cheap date syndrome' is REAL, LOL!

8 ounces of cooled coffee, brewed very strong.
4 or 5 ice cubes
a couple of ounces heavy cream (more cream is thicker, but calories
add up quickly)
SF vanilla syrup or Splenda and a little vanilla extract.
