Default Anyone Remember When?

Does anyone remember when ASD actual;ly offered diet support, not soda
and opinions on gay marriage.

OK I know it's Usenet, free and easy, no moderator and few rules but
what the heck kids, it is called alt.support.diet. This is the group
that helped me lose 86 pounds and where i turn for reminders on how to
keep it off.

Where's the old team spirit, where are the helpful suggestions, the
encouraging words?

It seems like a bunch of lunatics take over here until January when
evryone climbs aboard to fulfill the New Year's resolutions.

Please veteran lurkers, get involved again with realistic and sensible
information for the sincere newcomers!

I've missed most of the soda talk and this is the first I've seen
about gay marriage. Perhaps I need to lighten up on my killfile. But
seriously, can you point to a thread where someone didn't receive good
diet support, encouragement, and advice? What kind of helpful
suggestions do you seek?

BTW, I'd be interested in more of your recipes :-)

I just ignore the BS--not even reading it. If folks didn't feed the trolls,
they'd die off...too bad folks have to respond.

Oh, just skip that stuff. Either killfile these folks or read the
header and ignore the message. There's still some useful stuff on the
list.

I don't remember that one. I guess there are those who think you need to
follow their rules to lose weight

but seriously, the soda posts are really annoying.

I agree 100%. If everyone ignored him maybe he would go away!

The soda thing is getting old. I simply skip all his posts and anything
with 'soda' in the subject line. Maybe if he were completely ignored he
would find somewhere else to hang out and be annoying.

I think they're still here. I tend not to post while I'm at work because I
can't post from my newsreader and I dislike posting thru Google. It's
cumbersome to me.

The challenges seem to have fallen by the wayside. Some of them seemed to
bring out the same old objections each time.

I don't know about everyone else but I've been busy working on some of my
goals. It's hard to post from the seat of my bikeg

oh, you mean when ASD was helpful?

I thought you'd left for good the last exit post you made.

As for the soda crap - Roose has been around for years under numerous names.
MU will never change.

I believe I said I was taking a leave of absence. I doubt I would ever
leave ASD permanently but I suppose some live in hope :-)
