Day 62 -- still 28 pounds gone
3-3-07
Day 62 and still 28 pounds gone 265/237/200 Got on my scale this morning and the indicator didn't quite go below 200, but it wants to (I think, I hope, etc.). I had a few more calories yesterday than I wanted to but still below maintenance. My far better off went out for dinner and I had several beers. Nice close on a busy week. Today, Saturday, we just picked up two doors to install (hang) in our house. We successfully installed one two weeks ago, sawing away the old frame, etc. I'm listening to Flower Drum Song on the player and really like cheerful musicals, which this is, except for the wonderful song, "Love look away." Tomorrow is another planned day for snowshoeing and I better eat a few more calories tonight and take sugar with me tomorrow to stave off a repeat of hypoglycemia. Also, to build up the glycogen in my legs to be able to muscle up some pretty steep grades in the snow. (Of course at almost 30 pounds lighter there's less of me to hoist upwards.) To get my legs ready for tomorrow, I'm going up my hill this afternoon and will then start with sugar and other carbs. My target today is about 1500 calories. I hope everyone has a fun-filled and forward moving weekend and week and month ahead! March! March! March! March! March! March! March! March! to health! (Kind of like that corny old joke about the two ladies who went for a tramp in the woods but he got away! Or that movie, "Wellsville" about health faddists. Funny!) Yours truly, Caleb |

Day 62 -- still 28 pounds gone
I only checked this newsgroup today to see if you were still working on your
plan. I count calories too. However, I'm a low carber.... It is amazing how many calories can be consumed on a problem day, with something like a restaurant visit. Good luck "Caleb" wrote in message oups.com... 3-3-07 Day 62 and still 28 pounds gone 265/237/200 Got on my scale this morning and the indicator didn't quite go below 200, but it wants to (I think, I hope, etc.). Day 62 -- still 28 pounds gone
"Cubit" wrote It is amazing how many calories can be consumed on a problem day, with something like a restaurant visit. I had a 12 oz Shamrock Shake last Monday and almost fainted when I tortured myself checked the McDonald's calorie page. And we're going out to a new Lebanese diner this Tuesday, I'm sweating just thinking about making a healthy choice that is not going to sabotage my progress and/or set me off on a binge. Yours truly, Caleb Cubit -- Amen to the following! It is amazing how many calories can be consumed on a problem day, with something like a restaurant visit. Maybe this should be on the door of restaurants in general, sort of like the saying, "Abandon hope all who enter in" -- What Dante's Inferno has inscribed over the doors to his hell. Thanks! I hope you're doing great too! Yours truly, Caleb |
