Instead of your daily water quota? No. In addition to your
daily water quota? Yes.

Or will it stall me?

The premixed bottles use splenda. Very low risk. The
powder uses aspartame. Medium risk.

Water is water whether or not you dump some flavoring in it. What's the
difference between eating a spoonful of CS power and drinking a glass of
water and stirring that spoonful into the glass of water and drinking it?
None once it hits your stomach.

I'm not a water drinker either unless I'm on induction mode.

Becky replies,

That depends on you. I drink Diet Coke and it doesn't stall me. I drank
water (only) the first two weeks..but added back in the "fun stuff" later,
just to give myself a treat....it didn't hurt me, but it may you. Try it
out and see.

Try a week without...a week with and see if nothing happens when you drink
it. If not, don't worry about it. Atkins says not to use Equal...he didn't
like it and said it causes stalls and reactions in some people.

I've tried Crystal Light before, some flavors I do like. I buy it in powder
form, like the ones you mix yourself. Makes more, lasts longer. It does have
aspartame in it.

I was having allergies, then also stalled out on weightloss. So I dropped it
from my diet for a couple weeks, along with other food items. I added in one by
one the food and drink items I thought was causing a problem. I did add in
Crystal Light a week ago. So far, no problem, still losing weight. I drink 2
glasses of it a day. I like the Orange/Bananna/Strawberry flavored the best.

Also some of them have citric acid added to the drinks, adds the tartness to
it. I have read here that citric acid can also cause weight stalls.

So, just add it in for a few days, monitor what happens. It affects everyone
differently. I still cannot tolerate caffeine in any form. It causes sugar
cravings. I tried adding it back in, had some problems. So, caffeine to me is a
problem, to others not a problem at all.

I like crystal light a lot. Non carbonated, no caffeine, no sugar. Thats
the best combo for me! I can handle only the caffeine in tea and then only
during early daytime. After 4 pm I switch to decaf.

I drink a decent amount of water, but I supplement it with Crystal
Light as well. Despite what some people like to say, water is water no
matter what form it takes -- caffeine will stilmulate the bladder and
make you urinate more often and yes, your kidneys will have to filter
whatever sweeteners/flavorings, etc. are in your beverages. But water
is water, and you're still hydrating.

I can't stand to drink Crystal Light at full strength anymore, though
-- it's just too damn sweet and too strong. I mix the Pink Lemonade
flavor at 2/3 or even half strength and drink that. It's more cost
effective that way, less cloying flavor-wise, and it helps me get
plenty of water in during the day.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who did that! The way they tell you to
mix it, it IS too strong. I always make it much weaker and find it tastes
better that way.
