Default Ak, final SWWC, Maintenance wrong way !

You settled for a new pair of running shoes. I got a new laptop! (G)

I have equated my feelings about my "new look" with getting a new high
tech toy (a guy thing??) and so complemented it with a new high tech
toy.

I actually took an 8 week yoga course just as I started WW last Oct.
But that ended and the times for a new session were not good -
conflicted with the WW meeting, actually. I should check again.

Hey, pecan pie is permitted - just in the right quantities. But I got
nectarines just yesterday - perfect afternoon snack.

Seattle proper has very few of the critters in town. The mountains
are another story but they are gone for this season.

As for freeze - today almost feels like it - chilly and foggy this
morning and I can see that I will be exploiting that "clothing
cushion" real soon. I feel the shorts today are adding to the chill.
I saw one of the camping store catalogs had those zip-off pants - the
lower legs zip off (in case your imagination got the better of you!
(g))

We are running warmer than normal most days. The mountains are still
bone dry and there are small fires contributing smoke to many hiking
areas.

Hoping to be down a bit at today's WI......

could probably lose a few pounds this week by going into my back yard and
donating blood to the millions of mosquitoes. We had all that rain......

I have a mean friend in South Carolina who said, "Oh, the first freeze will
kill them all".... It did not freeze ONE TIME all last winter.....

So we have this little cool front here that brought us some unseasonably
cool weather (mid 80's) and we cannot even step outside without bombing the

sitting in an easy chair but not eating anything I want.

As for Winter - maybe I should not have installed the new windows -
they are intended to keep me warmer but that may mean burning less
calories (G)

living in Texas probably does not overcome centuries of genetics)
through sufficient "stores!" Also, the weather up here and the
shortened daylight means less activity.

BUT - go back to your charts or mine - we did it last winter - that is
lost weight. So we should be able to, at least, hold it steady if we
find the correct point formula and keep vigilant to see what our
bodies really need. I know you can do it and I can also do it - we
just have to set our minds to do it.

I think the ordinary weeks between now and THEN (next week, next month
and even two years from now and this holiday season) can be controlled
and as long as we don't flip out totally, we can have a good time in
the season of holiday excess without blowing it badly.

I'm with you. I have joined nyny and may have Amberle change my goal
to 160 rather than the 164 of the top WW number.

Oh heck, doesn't really matter how you came to using all those points up ... I
still thank you for doing what scares the beejeezus out of me. grin What can we
blame the higher appetite on? I seem to be going through the same thing this
week. I'm not eating more but I've had to be much more concious of my choices
this week ... seems I've been searching constantly for something to eat. I
honestly can say I've been hungry too ... stomach has been rumbling majorly within
a few hours after eating.

You're right ... the online journal is extremely generous doling out those
activity points. I also use my own estimate ... I'm rather tough on myself.

You know it is odd. I keep that daily average weight and it showed a small
loss last week despite. This week I have continued to be very hungry, and
if I am That hungry I am going to eat something (just making real healthy
choices). Still eating more points than I was 2 weeks ago, but my scale has
showed a new low this week that is sticking day to day. Go figure.

I've been the same as you, Lesanne. Hungry so I am eating. I am making good
choices overall. For 5 days straight my scale showed an alltime low for me (just
over 131), and did stick there. Stepped up this morning, the day before the
*official* day ... and right back to where I was last week. So I'm thinking ...
maybe the average IS the way to go. Why would 1 or 2 higher weight days be
*truer* than 5 lower and constant weight days? Does it really matter? LOL

What can we
blame the higher appetite on? I seem to be going through the same thing

I

You're right ... the online journal is extremely generous doling out those
activity points. I also use my own estimate ... I'm rather tough on

I have been doing that average weight thing for ages. And keeping a total
lost column as well. When I compare the total loss from that method, with
the total official WW loss for the same period, they are about .5 different.
So it obviously is accurate, the WW loss is much more erratic on a graph.
The average loss is almost a straight line, with the occational blip.

Your results are extremely interesting, and I do think they might be much more
accurate when looking at the big picture. I decided yesterday to give it the
official go. On fridays, I will average the weeks results. Sooooooooo - even
though my result yesterday was a lower number, my *official* average for the week
turned out to be 132.2 (actual number on the scale was 132, and today was a tad
lower even). I'm going with the average, am perfectly happy and comfortable with
it. It takes the pressure off those swings that us women tend to deal with
weekly.
