Default Sudden weight gain

Maybe some of you might have had this same problem. I'm going along, doing
great, losing a pound or two every few days, and then boom, overnight I gain
10 pounds.

My diet doesn't change, but about once a month or two, I'll just gain 10
pounds. I want to throw the scales out the window when that happens. It
takes me about a week to take off those 10 pounds again, then it back to the
grindstone. Then I will stall for a week or two and then start losing
again.

Anyone else have this problem? I know losing those last few pounds is the
hardest, but I'm confused. Please help.

Donnie,
I am by NO means an expert on this plan at all and maybe my answer is crap
but it sounds like water weight. It may be from something you are eating?
How is your salt intake? Water? Also are you male or female? If female, it
could be TOM issues that happen right before or after. If you are male,
sorry. I would make careful notes of what you eat a couple of days before
you gain the 10 and after to see what is common. It may be your diet; maybe
you should change up a little and lower your carb by a point or two and see
if that is it. Either that or a food allergy or something. Don't give up
even though you are frustrated, you are almost there. )

(Not an expert, either)

Not saying this is true of you- but the only time I've seen this (on any
diet) is when I felt so confident about my dieting that I bent the rules or
exceeded them too much. Still, I never saw a ten lb gain in a night! I'd
get that checked by a doctor. If everything is ok, try going back to
induction phase for a week or two to reset everything, so to speak.
