Dramatic drawing showing why nutrient density could be the key to
weight-loss. I know my post sounds like spamming, but it's not. I
never heard of this Dr. Joel Furham until a few minutes ago.

Watch the drawing at 3:31.

At 4:12 there is a list of the foods that have most nutrient density.
On the top of the list you have -in order- kale, collards, spinash and
bok choy. The next on the list is romaine that has about only 50% of
the nutrient density of bok choy. With that information, I went to the
market today, and I'm pleased to welcome kale, collards and bok choy
in my home! And, spinash, my old friend, welcome back! I'm very happy
to have my friends with me. I just need to figure out what to do with
them!!!

Oh that kind of nutrient density - amount of micronutrients. Dr
Atkins
proposed an "Atkins ratio" at one point - amount of micronutrients
per gram of carb. It's a similar but more restrictive idea.

At the top of his list were kale (very little flavor to me unless I
slow
cook it like in a stew), green tea and garlic. Then the rest of the
ones you mention. Who would think that a cup of green tea would
have almost as much antioxidants as the same volume of steamed
brocolli? Amazing.
