okay here i go
SO HERE IT IS today is a day of firsts.
-first day of the rest of my life -first day on a message board -first time joining a weight loss group -first day of pilates -first day of eating healthier yet not depriving myself -first day of learning how to love all 5'2'' and 141.5 lbs of myself. YESTERDAY WAS a day of Lasts -Last day of ever weighing 141.5 lbs -Last day of letting myself go -Last day of binging (and sadly sometimes purging) -Last day of "just one more" -Last day of if no one sees me eat it it doesnt count. -Last day of just hating myself yet not having the courage to do SOMETHING ~*~*~*~*~*~well here goes nothing (and everything) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ i am planning on updating this, mostly for my self but i would be ever grateful for any feed back or encouragement from any and all -alli |

You go girl! That's a great attitude. I will say one thing -- personal counseling goes a long, long way if you get with a good counselor. It sounds like you have a lot of harsh feelings about yourself & the purging thing kind of concerns me. Its a big day of firsts for you! A lot of great firsts, and you can do 'em all, but if things get to be too much, focus on one or two things at a time. You don't have to do everything at once!! "Alligirl22" wrote in message ... Most people seem to wait until they have to waddle before they do something. I hope you CAN diet and not deprive yourself. I was never able to do that, but stuck with my diet anyway. If you are really binging, I think just making the commitment to NEVER do that will get you started in the right direction, though. When people binge, it just shows that they really cannot trust their appetites or fullness to tell them when they should stop eating....so be sure to count calories no matter what kind of diet you are on.... then STOP eating when you reach your quota. You can do this, and it sounds like you're making a great start. You really aren't a whole lot overweight, but it does sound like you have some issues you need to address. This group can help provide support, but em's suggestion of counseling might not be a bad thing to consider, either. The binging/ purging thing might be something you find difficult to cope with on your own. But I hope not, and I hope your new resolve and participation in a support group like this will help you turn things around.
