Default Challengers: 5 More Days!!! Thanksgiving....

We only have 5 more days until December. Can't hardly believe it!

You can post your stats now (I'll be updating later today) and again on the
first.

Remember, if you are in the United States, eat more meat and low carb
veggies and try to stay away from the starchy/sugary carb laden foods!

Finish strong!!!

Eating junk is NOT more important than reaching your goal!!! You've come
too far to mess up now!

If it's a planned cheat day, then have a wonderful time of it and jump back
on plan the day after.

I look forward to posting your weightloss stats!

So, how ARE you spending Thanksgiving??

Reached 257 on Saturday last, don't know what I'll be at the weekend but
don't suppose the change will be great as TOM is coming for a visit.

So, how ARE you spending Thanksgiving??

::snort:: I think they were trying to get away from out lot, actually -
I suspect I'll be working, if I can work out what day Thanksgiving is.

And when I said 257 I meant 247. I haven't gained ten pounds in three
days. Even I couldn't manage that.

I am not thrilled with the scale, but when my mother asked me if I had lost
more weight I told her no but I was losing inches so I am trying to think
about it that way, last month I lost 5 inches so maybe I should shoot for
inches not pounds..?? I'll have to give it some thought.

Hey! I'll hang my post here on the post Carol Ann sent:

I will weigh again when I pick mom up at dialysis on the 1st.
I'll post that afternoon.

Probably at home, nothing special except a LC version of pumpkin pie.
Probably just have a rotisserie chicken... not enough mouths here for a
big bird.

I miss the Holidays of my childhood, eating all I wanted of grandmas
cooking... and you could still count my ribs from across the room.
sigh

I'll definitely have to update on Monday, because this morning the
scale said 190 (not to be believed, since it said 193 yesterday).

We're feeding 10, and all the traditional high carb items will be
there, along with pureed cauliflower (we have found that if you call
it what it is, you set more accurate expectations) and a mexican red
sauce for the bird based on chicken stock, acho chiles, and sesame
seeds. (From a Diane Kennedy cookbook)

193 for me

When I started Atkin's I was shedding weight fairly quickly. Now that
I've added more veggies, I can hardly maintain the loss I had! I have
not cheated once! I haven't exercised either which is probably my
problem -- but geez... I'm a walk/runner and here in n IL, it's dark
before and after work, and very cold lately!!!

Happy Thanksgiving fellow LC'rs!!!

I am weighing in at 221 one pound more than goal! I plan on spending
lots of time with family and enjoying our time together. I have the
big meal at my own home so it was easy to plan food that is low carb
for me so I won't be so tempted. I also plan to make the Atkins
Pumpkin Cheesecake for my dessert so I won't be tempted by pumpkin
pie.

Happy Holidays to all of you who celebrate from me to you!
