it appears........the material of the fabric and the emacerated skin when
dried could stick together to form a bond with one another. It's the same
principal as when you put a dry gauze dressing over a moist wound that then
dries out.........it sticks to it, doesn't it? What I can't understand is
how anyone could sit in one position long enough to have that happen to
them.............she must have had awful pressure ulcers on her
bottom/back:-(

Sorry to bring up this subject... but in reading those posts about the
heavy woman whose "skin was grafted into her sofa", how the heck does
that happen?? It's weird to imagine.

Thanks.

Bed sores that ooze and dry onto the fabric, heal, get sore again,
etc. They did confirm that she didn't get up - ever - just lay in her
own p*ss and sh*t, probably for years. On the Animal Planet Channel
shows about animal abuse, they are forever finding dogs with ingrown
chain collars - the rubbed raw skin grows into, over and through the
links of chain. Of course, the owner never noticed anything...

I just can't understand how anyone else could live with the smell that must
have been in the house.

Olfactory fatigue. Same thing that keeps smokers and people with
extreme BO from being aware of how they smell.

Take care,
