Default Fat Pants

I've been cleaning out my closets and don't know what to do with my fat
pants. They're a pair of size 18-20 drawstring in black cotton. Even when
they fit they looked like crap on me. If I keep them, I know I'll never wear
them again. Here's the thing - do I want to keep them so I can see how far
I've come or do I want a reminder of how bad I looked and then become
depressed and possibly want to binge eat.

i think you answered your own question...
why not take your fat clothes to womens shelters or places where others can
benifit from them.

I volunteer at a battered women's shelter and gave them everything except
that one pair of pants. I'm having trouble parting with them.

On a side note - shelters will take almost anything you have - housewares,
old cell phones, craft projects and even your time.

Then don't. I was surprised to read that looking at your old pants can make
you so depressed about how you *used* to look that you would go off on a
binge. It sounds like you need to figure out why you can't just be proud of
your accomplishments without trying to undermine them. When you see the
pants, and the thought "sheesh, I sure was disgusting" crosses your mind,
try to figure out how to make the next thought, "but I'm not any longer.
Yay me!"

I got rid of all the fat clothes. Except one outfit to put on every once in a
while and see how far I've come. As a matter of fact, it's the outfit in my
'before' pic. I can put those capris on over my pants now, and stick both arms
in the waistband. And they still fall down, LOL! Gotta love it!
