Hi Perple,

I'm so proud of you. You becoming a lean mean fighting machine. I have
no doubt your about to break the two hundred barrier. You should be so
proud of yourself. Keep up the great work on losing weight, gaining

muscle,
and getting healthy.

Your TX supporter,

Paul

I was excited to see a number on my scale that I haven't seen in a

while.
I
weighed in at 210 this morning! I am getting closer to being under 200!

74
lbs gone since August 2003!

I've been working out extra hard on the weights, trying to build

muscle...
or at least keep what I have toned and not lose any. Tonight at the

gym,
I
actually leg pressed 315 lbs! I used six 45 lb plates + the 45 lb

platform.
I did 2 x 12 at 315 and 2 x 15 at 225! The muscular guy using the leg
press machine next to me was watching me with awe (or at least what I

assume
awe looks like) as I pressed as much as him! My thighs, calves and butt

are
getting so strong and I love it! Since I can't squat, I've been

focusing
on
using different leg press machines every time I do lower body.

Another unique thing I've noticed is that I don't get fatigued at the

gym
as
easily as I used to. I can do more reps and heavier weights and not be

sore
in the morning. I bet the fact that I am eating more calories then I

used
to helps with this immensely. I can do the elliptical at a higher
resistance and not get as winded. I can do the treadmill at a higher
incline and feel like I can go forever. I feel great! I've lost 9.5
inches on my waist since August 2003. I am still in shock about that
number.

I bought size 14 pants at Avenue last week too! I know that their sizes

run
big... so it is probably equivalent to size 16 at regular stores. I

have
to
start shopping at regular clothes stores. I don't know where to start.

I
don't know where to buy. I don't know what to buy. It was easy when my
choices were limited to Avenue and Lane Bryant. I am kinda scared and
excited at the same time thinking about it. There are so many choices

for
"regular" sized people. I already shop at target and walmart for basic
jeans, etc. I need to buy business atire. I am overwhelmed and

elated.....

Thanks for the ideas, Chris! I will shop around this weekend and see what I
can find... What size did you go from to?

In my life I've been as high as a 26, but when I began this, at 262
lbs., I was pretty much a 22. (When I was a 26 I was not a lot
heavier than that but didn't work out and thus didn't have much
muscle. When I was at 262 and started this diet I was a serious
weightlifter.)

Now I'm a size 12, for the most part. I'm finding that some size 10s
fit me now as well. I started shifting from the plus size stores when
I got to wearing some 16s.

Keep up the great work. Getting below 200 was very emotional for me. Enjoy
it when it comes

I need to do the same thing... However, I am kinda nervous about shopping at
a regular store. I can't explain it and it sounds silly... It is almost
like I don't feel like I belong. Sometimes I forget that I am just about
out of plus sizes... until I catch a glimpse in a mirror or a shadow. Then,
I am like "wow", I can't believe it. Do you know what I mean?

Yes.... I notice that all of the time, exactly!

"Chris Braun"

I still have exactly that experience :-). Sometimes when I look at
myself critically in the mirror at home I feel like I look about like
I always did. But I can catch a glimpse sometime and almost not
recognize myself.
