Some of you may remember that I had a terrible time getting a picture where
I'm not wearing glasses, PLUS don't look satanic. Now I've got a decent
one. I should be getting contacts by the end of the year if all goes
right.

That's a GREAT photo, Carol -- downright LOVELY, in fact!

Wow! Thank you! I took my glasses off when I had my driver's license
picture taken today. Turned out great!

Thank you, Spring. I can't wait to lose these glasses. It's gonna cost
about $500 for the fitting and the contacts, so I'm saving up. The
contacts will have correction for astigmatism, a very strong correction (at
the end of the contact lense scale for myopia), and bifocals. Serious
business. But they're hard lenses, so they won't have to constantly be
replaced.

What a great photo!

Thanks, Amy. I'm working on looking like a human again. I'd forgotten how
much work that takes! LOL!

Wow, Carol, what a difference! You looks so pretty!

I was one who suggested that you change the style on your glasses to go
with your weight loss; your old big-rimmed Sally-Jesse glasses hid too much
of your face and looked too '80's. I hope that you're able to get your
contacts if that's what you want; I remember you saying that you were having
trouble gettng them because of the strength of your prescription.

Apparently, they now make contacts that work for severe myopia,
astigmatism, and bifocal corrections. They'll be very expensive, but it'll
be worth it.

Thanks again,
Carol

Carol,

You look SO different out from behind your glasses. I agree with the
others; you are much too pretty to be hiding behind them!

Good luck on your quest for contacts!
