Fasting one day a month may protect arteries [Mormons]

Do you still have that URL or URLs? I've got someone who's worried about kidney stones I'd like to pass it along to. Well, I had started in Wikipedia and branched off from a link there. I can't seem to retrace my steps. However, Googling I found: Q. Does EDTA play a role in treating kidney stones? Ah, my mistake; I thought you were talking about *fasting* as an approach to dealing with kidney stones. Guess that's why I didn't find much in my Wikipedia search. I'll check out this EDTA thing, though; thanks. -- Aaron -- 285/254/200 -- aaron.baugher.biz |

EDTA. Interesting. After some Wiki reading, I think it may be a plausible approach to dealing with kidney stones. Arterial plaque and now kidney stones. Thanks for expanding my horizons! I wonder if EDTA would have a similar effect on gallstones. Consider that gallstones tend to form while on low fat but staying on low fat does not trigger their release. Low carb tends to prevent gall stones from forming. But if a person starts out for years on low fat then switches to low carb (a very common situation) any gallstones formed during the low fat years tend to get released. I've read several claims of doctors blaming low carb for gall stone attacks because of this sequence. If EDTA dissolves gallstones it might be suggested during Induction ... Vitacost has several products. Has anyone tried Vitacost EDTA? Or other Vitacost products? |

Dr Atkins suggested chelation therapy to reverse arterial plaque. He got called a quack for doing so. I've seen adds for EDTA tablets to do oral chelation but I've not yet purchased any to try it out. Dr. William Davis is a cardiologist specializing in preventative work reducing coronary arterial plaque as measured by heart scan scores. I don't agree with everything he says, but probably moreso than Bernstein on diabetes or Atkins on much of anything, so I recommend him highly: http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/ He's had patients try chelation therapy without success at reducing heart scan scores: http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/se...chelation%3 F -- http://www.ornery-geeks.org/consulting/ |
