Another Low Carb Restaurant Menu
Over the weekend DH and I went to Cracker Barrell as we got up early to shop
and decided to have breakfast. We both went in there with the intention of just ordering eggs and bacon or sausage, hold the grits and biscuits, etc, when we discovered 3 low carb items highlighted on the back of the menu. We both got the Low Carb Sampler, which was 3 eggs, and one piece each of sausage, bacon and country ham. The meal also came with one piece of low carb bread toasted but we didn't eat that. The country ham was particularly yummy!! Deneen |

Another Low Carb Restaurant Menu
Other than the bread, what's so special about eggs and meat? Before
low-carb came along I think that was pretty standard breakfast fare. What's next? Sizzler introducing it's new "low carb" steak? Served without the bread, sides or potatoes of course, but since it's now "low carb" they charge you $3 more. Well, Cracker Barrell is known for its high carb country style breakfasts, with grits, biscuits and gravy, fried apples and hash brown casserole coming with the faire. I found it nice that at a place where I thought I might have to omit things, there were low carb choices already there. There was no price hike, either. Deneen |

Before I read your post, I would never consider eating there again. -- JK Sinrod Sinrod Stained Glass Studios www.sinrodstudios.com Coney Island Memories www.sinrodstudios.com/coneymemories |

I think part of the "special" part about the low carb menu is that it offers
a SAMPLER which gives you the eggs (not so special) and (here is the special part) sausage, bacon, & ham. Other breakfast choices would make you get part of it and have to order a side of the other to get all three. Sounds nice to me, but if I were to go to Cracker Barrel, I would want some of the hash brown casserole. Dave "billydee" wrote in message om... (Deneen Kus) wrote in message ...
