Default Atkin's Death

I heard Dr. Atkins's died because he was eating to much fat, and his
arteries were clogged? Is this for real or just a ploy to not follow his
diet plan? Thanks.

It concerns me too. After I lose all the weight i'd like to lose on Atkins
diet (trying the induction phase), I'm going to go back to a 1200-1500
calorie a day diet, watching my fat intake. Granted, I only wanted to lose
10-15 lbs total, so it's different for me than those that want to lose 50,
100, 150 lbs.

I feel the lower calorie/sugar/fat diet is a healthier way to eat, but I
like the Atkins diet for purely weight loss.

Why? There's no evidence to support this, it's silly.
