3 packages of cream cheese
1 quart whipping cream
3 boxes of sugar free Jell-O (your flavor)
2 cups of hot water.

mix the cream cheese and the whipping cream, mix it until very smooth.

boil 2 cups of water and add the 3 packages of sugar free Jell-O .

one the Jell-O is dissolved slowly add to the cream cheese and whipping cream mix.

once all mixed put in 1 cup serving dishes and chill in the fridge.

made about 8 servings.

I made the original recipe but didn't add the splenda or the lemon juice and it came out very very good. just thought i
would share it with the group.

Looks like alot of carbs tho. Be careful with the amount you eat.

I think you meant a lot of calories? Works out to 415 calories per
serving, but only about 3 grams of carbs.

it's both. a quart of cream alone has over 3000 calories and 27 grams
of carbs. cream cheese is also very high in calories - the OP doesn't
state what size packages to use, but assuming it's the standard
eight-ounce package, you're looking at another 2400 calories and 19
grams of carbs. three-ounce packages would be considerably fewer
calories and carbs (890/7).

but that quart of cream all by itself is chock-full of calories, and has
plenty of carbs. even if you break it down into servings, the cream
alone puts you close to 400 calories. that's almost a meal for some of
us.

I also made my own version of this over the week end. The amounts given in
the original recipe yields a shload of dessert. I kinda toned it down and
put it into two 'pie crusts'. Yumm

2-8 oz. pkg cream cheese
1/2 quart whipping cream
1/2 c. whipping cream
2 sm boxes sf jello (lime)
1 cup hot water
1/2 c. lime juice, frozen (natural strength)

Crust (this makes two crusts):
4 t. splenda
2 T. butter (melted)
3 c. ground pecans (or any other nut you like, macadamias would be good)
2 egg whites

Mix pecans, butter splenda and egg whites well. Press into pie plate. Bake
at 350F for about 15-20 min. (I did my for less time and the pecans didn't
come as toasty as I had hoped, so I added about 5 min and 50F). Cool.

Add 1/2c. cream to cream cheese and mix with electric beaters until smooth.
In sperate bowl whip remaining cream until fluffy. Boil water and dissolve
jello in boiling water. Add lime juice and mix until melted. Add jello to
cream cheese mixture and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream and beat
again until smooth. Pour into two pie plates and chill until firm.

This recipie came out quite light and fluffy. I've made cheese cakes before
and they were always heavy, like eating lime butter. This was better. I
don't have any software that allows me to figure nutritional info from a
homemade recipe. So if anyone would like to try to figure it out that would
be cool.

DAMN! That's a massive amount of calories. I hope you aren't eating
this a lot. At 8 servings that's ~650 cals each.

Take care,
Carmen
