Default carb diets

For what it is worth I have followed a high carb diet of the
Mediterranean style. My whole family now follows this rather than a
typical Swedish diet. It has worked well for me for over 35 years.
As a diabetic person I find the Atkins type diet nothing more than the
latest fad and an easy out. A balanced diet with much exercise and hard
work does far better in the long run than a diet that promotes heart
disease and kidney failure.
