Default Food & Exercise -- 2/12/2007

My usual Tuesday stuff -- morning run, afternoon work at the
conservancy, stop by the winery at home. (Because I had the
conservancy work this afternoon, I didn't go to the pool as I have
been doing in the afternoon. And during the time I would otherwise
have been there a young man nearly drowned -- had to be medivac-ed to
the hospital. I understand that, thanks to the quick action of the
lifeguards, he's expected to recover fully. Considering how few
people are in the pool in the afternoons, until school gets out next
week, this is a pretty extraordinary happening.)

Food:

* 7:30 (home): oatmeal w/ peanut butter & flax seed
* 11:30 (home): turkey burger on whole wheat bun w/ 3 slices f/f
cheese, dill pickle, & catsup
* 5:00 (winery): 2 glasses wine
* 6:30 (home): grape tomatoes w/ onion dip made from f/f Greek yogurt
* 7:30 (home): pork barbecue on whole wheat bun

Exercise:

* 9:00: 3 mile run

You're so lucky you weren't at the pool. Good to hear the young man
will be fine.

I've been trying to catch up on the group but it's been hard with all
the biking. I've been averaging 150 mile weeks. I'm preparing for
the tours in July and August.

Yeah, I think it was just as well to miss that event!

That's some very impressive bike riding. I think you're a great
example of how us older people can stay fit :-).
