WNM week 3 - Prairie Roots
My current weight: 152 lbs
Weight change since my last recorded weight: -1.6 lbs Total weight change to date: -80 lbs It's official: With this week's loss, I reached my mini-goal to have lost 80 lbs total. 152 also happens to be my fourth 10% target. This was one of those weeks when I'd have been grateful to have posted a maintain. Last weekend I went on some kind of feeding frenzy--hunger and Easter hit me at the same time--and I used up all my flex points and then some last Saturday and Sunday. Since then, I've been on the straight and narrow. Guess that's what showed up on the scale today. No biking this week, despite the glorious weather since Monday. Though it's not the same, I did take several walks this week. Anything to get away from the fumes and grit in my house. This weekend I'm painting the kitchen and bathroom. All of my other exercise has taken a back seat to the construction project, which is progressing well if a bit behind schedule. The kitchen cabinets are in. Appliances arrive on Monday. Kitchen floor tile is stacked on my living room floor. Countertops go in next week. Bathroom wall tile has not arrived, which is holding up progress in that room. My project manager is in a yelling match with the tile people to try to hasten things along. But what's a construction project without delays? Had a fun NSV this week. I went to the Y to cancel/pause my membership. When I showed my ID, the woman at the counter looked twice, three times to make sure I was the same person as in the photo. Finally she said, "When you come back, you'll need a new picture taken for your ID. You look nothing at all like your photo. How much weight have you lost? You look wonderful!" It's the best day of my life! -- Linda P week 60: 232/152/WW goal 145 WNM week 3: 155.6/152/145 next mini-goals: 150 (5 lbs to WW goal); 149.8 (next decade and new daily points target) started WW 22-Feb-2003 | 10% target: 1-May-2003 5'4" | 50 | F |

Congrats on the super fantastic week, Linda - as well as reaching all those
milestones and mini-goals. 80 pounds gone is amazing! Are you waiting on floor tile or wall tile ... or both? I don't envy you're having to wait, I am the world's worst waiter. I lived with underlayment for flooring for over a year - my own procrastination as I couldn't decide what I wanted and refused to spend megabucks on something I wasn't thrilled with. It does sound like you are in the final stretch with the remodeling, bet you're getting awfully excited to have it finished. Thanks Julie. I kinda like having my YWCA ID portraying me as my
former self. My driver's license picture is out-of-date as well. Both are handy reminders of where I've been and where I could be again if I don't maintain due diligence. In the last couple of weeks, I fudged a bit when a couple of people asked me how much I've lost, and I said 80 lbs. I figure total strangers, who are just comparing the person they see standing before with the photo ID, aren't interested in .2 increments. It's nice now to be able to say "I've lost 80 lbs" without having to round up! House: I keep finding little things to add on to the job. My carpenter is one handy guy who really knows old houses.
