Default Food and Exercise 22/08/04

Weigh day today (monday). My signature is up a pound but technically I'm
down .5 a lb. Same old pounds I'm dealing with. I was down to 228 around
wednesday morning but I'm suspecting all the little add ins cost me a pound
or two whether it be in fat or water. Either way. I'm not worrying about
it. I'm back on track

Breakfast -1/2 cup kellogs viva soy
1/2 cup 1% milk
5 strawberries

Lunch - Wasn't very hungry
1 kaiser w/margarine
1 peach

DInner - 1 soya burger+bun on BBQ
BBQ'd veggies 1/2 cup
- Green Peppers
- Mushrooms
- Oinions
- Zucchini
1oz of BBQ'd chicken
Dessert - Everyone (except me and sister) had chocolate pudding and whipped
cream
1/2 cup leftover ice cream (container is now gone) 130cal
for 1/2 cup

Exercise - Walk up to Zellers and back (fell on sidewalk coming home,
bruised toe)
approx. 1/2 hour total time walking.

Water - 2 litres

Calorie count for that day 1200

It feels good to be eating normally again. I'm not sure why I had the ice
cream. I was in the mood for something sweet. Probably leftover sugar need
from the day before (which is why I hate even eating the crap even if it
didn't do too bad). Ice cream is gone now and I found that having just a
few spoonfuls was more than enough. The summer is ending and unless BIL
request it no more will be brought in. Even so, I think that I won't touch
it again.

What is this, CP? I've never heard of it.

Congrats on getting back on track after a bad day!

I was thinking the same thing -- maybe Kellogg's Smart Start Soy is
marketed differently in different places?

Ouch! I hope your toe is okay now. It's these silly things that
sideline me. Do you keep an ice pack in the freezer? I recommend it.

Calorie count for that day 1200

I don't always follow your logs - is that normal for you? It seems so
low. I get pretty crabby when I go below about 1400 calories.

It feels good to be eating normally again. I'm not sure why I had the ice
cream. I was in the mood for something sweet.

My philosphy is to just eat it. Figure out why I needed it, make
substitutions in the future if necessary, certainly count the calories,
but I try to honor my body when it says it needs something.

On the other hand, I haven't been losing very much weight lately, so
take that for what it's worth!

What's the story with your house: you live with your sister and her
husband and their kids and come together for meals?

Yup, I am in canada. Toronto to be exact.

Vive soy is a cereal and it seems similar to what jmk posted. The labels
says... crunchy flakes and granola clusters with a hint of cinnamon.. There
is soy IN it apparently. I need to find a better alternative although I
liked the crunchiness of this cereal. Usually I choose just right cereal,
it seems less sweet. I'm still looking for a good tasty wholesome cereal.

Thanks for the congrats

Calories are about the usual. It's anywhere from 1200 - 1400 a day. I
don't base what I eat on how many calories it is. I dole myself out a
normal portion size and try to substitute with salads, veggies and fruits.
I find though that I don't get overly hungry at 1200 calories. In fact most
time I'm very satisfied after having my meals. I will sometimes have a
snack at night if I feel like I can't wait until morning. It does seem like
so little but I do eat when I'm hungry and I try to eat 3 times regularly
with the occasional snack. I think the reason I can eat till full and still
maintain a good calorie count is because of the foods I choose. It's
amazing how full you can get on veggies Also as you might see, I've been
doing very little when it comes to exercise. I'm sure I'll need more when I
do get into the habit of daily exercise.

As for my home situation. My sister and I always lived in the same house.
She in the basement, me on the second floor. My landlord lived in on the
first floor and other people lived on the 3rd. The 3rd floor tenants moved
out and the landlord decided to turn my 2 bedroom apartment into a 2 floor 4
bedroom apartment. Since the rent would go up to cover the costs and since
my sister and I always thought of moving in together, she moved in. We each
have our own rooms. Her daughter and my daughter share a room since they
are both girls and close in age (one is 6 the other 8) and her son has his
own room (he's soon to be 13). We also each have our own family bathrooms.
We share the rest of the house which is a living room, kitchen and a second
living room we call the den. We turned the 2nd kitchen into more of a
storage room but we keep the extra fridge for overflows. My sister does
most of the cooking but we consult on what might be good for dinner. We all
eat our evening meal together but breakfast and lunch is a serve yourself
deal. It seems to be working well and it's not she and I that are driving
each other nuts.. it's the husbands and kids that drive us crazy!!!

Thanks for asking I know it sounds silly, but I always love sharing.
