Perhaps the following inspirational true story will help you overcome
the brainwashing that has resulted in your believing falsely that
"hunger is bad:"

http://MabletonGA.OurLittle.net/DreadNought

So that you can go find good things to do that will make you hungrier
instead of finding things to eat between smaller meals:

http://HeartMDPhD.com/HolySpirit/overweight.asp

"Hunger is good."

Know this in your heart and the truth, Who is LORD Jesus Christ, will
cure you of your obesity.

May GOD continue to heal our hearts with HIS living water curing us of
obesity, depression, anxiety, and panic so that we can love our neighbors
a little more and LORD Jesus Christ a lot more, dear neighbors whom I
love unconditionally.

Prayerfully in Christ's amazing love,

Andrew

As for knowing who are the very elect, these you will know by the
unconditional love they have for everyone including their enemies
(Matthew 5:44-45, 1 Corinthians 13:3, James 2:14-17).

Wow, and I thought I'd read all those obscure gnostic texts...

The Gospel according to Luke is not an obscure gnostic text...

"Blessed are you who hunger now for you will be satisfied." -- LORD
Jesus Christ (Luke 6:21).

May GOD continue to heal our hearts with HIS living water curing us of
obesity, depression, anxiety, and panic so that we can love our neighbors

It's hard to say whether I "learned" anything as much as developed some
opinions about the similarities between early Christianity and
Buddhism. I also have some opinions about why certain texts were
included as canonical and others were not.

Has it benefited you ?

I like knowing the stuff is out there, seeing common threads, etc. I
suppose that's a benefit.

Where on earth did you come up with the idea that I believe "hunger is bad"?

I had started to ask him the same thing before I realized that he was
probably just looking for some opportunity to espouse his theories and
his theology.

Dear Jesus,

Please save me from your followers.

Thx,

In the Holy Spirit, I know that you have been brainwashed to believe
that hunger is bad:
