pizza crust damage control
Since the middle of 1989, I've been part of a group of women that meets monthly
to talk, laugh, and have dinner. Since 1995, the menu has always been the same: pizza. I wasn't going to suggest a change. I figured this would be my highest carb night of the month, each month from here on out. But I went to www.papajohns.com beforehand and found out something interesting. One slice of a large Papa Johns pizza with regular crust has 38 carbs. One slice of the same pizza with a thin crust has 24 carbs. I managed to talk the group into getting the thin crust pizza. So even though, with 2 slices of pizza, I just had my highest carb (and likely highest calorie) day since I began this WOE, it could have been worse -- about 28 carbs worse. And the group liked the thin crust pizza, so we'll probably have it again. Daria 166/147/140 sugar-free since 2/1/04 low-carb since 2/17/04 |

The SO likes pizza so I just scrape the top onto a LC tortilla.

Somehow I get fewer weird looks that way than if I just scrape the toppings onto a plate. Em |
