Hello,
Has anyone here heard of a diet plan called "The Carb Adict's Diet"?
I had seen some mention of it on alt.support.thyroid sometime back..
Apparently it's supposed to help people ween themselves from consuming
so many carbs.
Also a coworker of mine was recently put on a low carb, high protein
diet. Which I, having an extra low metabolic rate due to congenital
hypo thyroidism prolly need to be on, but what foods are highest in
protein and lowest in carbs? Being a single male in late 40s, I'm not
much good at planning meals, or cooking either; heh! if I had to depend
on my cooking skill, I'd starve to death!

^^Free online diet plan by Jerry Wilson.

Strongly suggest you either get a book or read Jerry's plan before going LC.
It really shouldn't be done without proper knowledge.

Also, if you have diagnosed medical conditions, you should consult your doc.

Good luck.

Jake.

Just about any type of meat, chicken, pork, or fish (I personally am not a
big fan of fish). ALL UNBREADED. Plus a side of one of the following:
green beans, asparagus, spinach. This is usually my dinner about three to
four times per week. Throw in a salad of mixed greens and some blue cheese
dressing. Make enough for leftovers to take to work for lunch. TaDaa....
