Anyone here interested in discussing WW???
It is my understanding that even lifetime members have to pay online so that
option might not work if your budget won't support it. Maybe your mom can give you a year's membership as a present. You need to find some one who could transfer the audio tape to your hard drive or burn a CD for you. "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... They do have audio tape but the two problems with them are that they are not as accurate as I would like, like a whole days menu in the first book is missing, and if it were on CD my tape player wouldn't eat the tape, they have large print available for the asking but I can't read any print. I am exploring the option of CD and online because my mom wants to get me one or the other for Christmas. I had originally planned to take my time and sign up for online after I reached lifetime and got meeting for free thus not messing with the budget I do appreciate all of you guys suggesting and trying to help, Lee Laura wrote in message ... Now I understand why you are looking for the CD. How about e-mailing or calling WW and explaining your eyesight problem. Maybe they have a large print version or would sell you the something for the computer. They are a business and they should be subject to all of the disability/accessibility laws that you could use to your advantage. "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... I actually go to meetings and have those, I was just wondering if they were on line as if they were it would be easier for me to access them, I have the tapes to listen to since I can't read regular print but on the computer would be easier. Thanks, Lee Laura wrote in message ... They do give out materials for the first 12 weeks. They recently revised them all due to Flex points program but I have not gone to any of the meetings since the program was revised. There are a bunch of these "kits" on e-bay. Just do a search on Weight watchers and you'll see them for sale. For anyone without materials this would make a wonderful xmas present. "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... That is excellent, I was wondering if there were sorts of information or other things the wwo would provide that etools would not because I would get them at the meetings. and here is another question. You know, or have heard that the first 12 weeks of WW meetings provide a booklet, or recipe card. Are these on the website anywhere? My sister has offered to scan and transcribe to text the booklets I have and if they are there I will get her to do another project for me for Christmas, Sorry for bugging you guys but I have been so rushed and my mom is just bent on helping me ASAP, Lee Laura wrote in message ... As far as I can tell there is no informational difference between eTools and straight online. eTools, however, is only available for those attending meetings. I think that's why they lower the price for eTools since you are already paying $12-$13 for the meetings and want to price it attractively. "Miss Violette" wrote in message ... OK then if the CD isn't an option then here is the next thing I need to know, can anybody tell if there is any difference at all between etools and straight wwonline besides the price. and I meant assistance not insistence in my earlier post, good thing you don't gain weight for misspelling, Lee Joyce wrote in message ... Is the CD even an option available to US members? I've searched all over the ww website, can't find a CD at all. I can find the *at home* program ... but it doesn't include software of any sort. I'd be willing to bet that it isn't an option for those of us in the states, since we can do the online program. WW is a business after all, and imagine how many $$$ would be lost if we all purchased the $100 cd and opted out of the $15/month online venue. g Joyce On Sun, 7 Dec 2003 05:49:38 -0600, "Miss Violette" wrote: thanks for your help. The online version doesn't support lifetime. Understandable as there is no
actual proof that you're at the goal you've chosen. "Laura" wrote in message ... I remember DH saying we got the pies, I will ask him about the menu, thanks,
Lee Deb in Northern California wrote in message ... I got that a few weeks ago, along with the points pie for higher carb, higher protein and also the balanced plans. I am sure they have them at the meetings and you just need to ask the person that weighs you or the leader for these handouts. Debbie "Fred" wrote in message news I forget what it is actually called. It is a larger sheet, legal size. Two sides. It contains a series of menus for each day and each meal limited to a total of 20 points. It is intended to break plateaus. On Sun, 7 Dec 2003 20:08:09 -0600, "Miss Violette" wrote: never heard of this menu, tell me more, Lee Fred wrote in message .. . Oh, as long as we are talking online version (G) Is there a pdf or other version of the one week, 20 point, menu system - for breaking a plateau or whatever it might be called? They have a paper giveaway at meetings but an e-copy might be nice, too. Thanks. On Sun, 07 Dec 2003 10:13:37 -0600, Joyce wrote: Is the CD even an option available to US members? "Laura" wrote in message ... While WW does not support women that are pregnant, you should talk to your doctor to see how many extra points you should add to your plan to keep you healthy. You should keep exercising too. Try and find some websites that have exercises designed for pregnant woman. Keeping in shape while pregnant really helps keep the weight gain to a minimum plus your body will bounce back faster after the baby is born. We have a pregnant woman doing curves. Judging by her size, she's probably 7 months pregnant. She does not do all of the machines but most of them. That's the plan, but as i'm almost 40 AND having 24x7 nausea attacks that will just have to wait .... ( |

Oh Bron, how wonderful for you!!! Congrats on the new little person living
inside of you! -- ~Kristin O~ 272/239/172 Here's our FAQ: http://www.didian.com/asdww/ and welcome notice: http://www.geocities.com/welcomenotice/index.html "VH-CBR" wrote in message ... "Miss Violette" wrote in message s.com... OK then where does the CD ROM that some people talk about come in? Lee, and thanks for responding You can buy the CD Rom direct from WW. I got it, it cost me $70 Australian and allows me to add recipes, keep track of weight loss etc and to track points each day, it's well worth getting. Although I'd have to issue a warning to all women losing weight ... apparently carrying to much weight can affect your fertility and dropping some of that weight can have the opposite affect ... seems my weight loss is at an end for about 8 months as I add to the population of Australia (all things going well) .. what a shock for an old boiler like myself ......
