I've been drinking water so much that, to quote someone I used to know,
"my back teeth are floating"! I have added incentive to get this bit of weight off. A month from now I'll be in California (and Las Vegas) with DF visiting his parents. MIL has never liked me, and especially didn't like that I was (am) overweight. Hopefully having lost 30+ pounds will have softened her a bit (I'm not counting on it though). Unfortunately we'll be in LA AFTER Las Vegas - land of buffets! I have found that I'm much less apt to overeat (in terms of portions) at buffets since getting OP, however I've also found that the Vegas buffets tend to specialize in wonderfully tasty, unusual and high-point items! I won't be weighing in this week. I had a very "wet" weekend and TOM to
boot. I am retaining water like you wouldn't believe and I know I can't handle a gain.... I am still OP though, but I want to stay motivated and feel that what I do, really does matter and really does work, and if I see a gain now, I will lose faith... So, I will weigh in again on friday jan 30) I still have 26 days to go before Valentines day - My (mini) goal is to lose 3 lbs, that should be possible if I add exercise. Just one hour of powerwalking will burn 400 kcal for a person my size (116)...so that could even out the buffet-temptations) |
