I've been on the plan for a week now. My first offical WI is tonight.
Unofficial results on the home scale show me down almost 2 pounds but we'll
see how things go tonight. I was struggling to lose weight this summer under
the old flex plan so this week is a good one for me.

I am eating roughly the same portions as befo cereal or eggs with fruit
for breakfast, 3-4 ounces of protein for lunch and dinner with lots of
veggies. This fills me up quite nicely. I rarely go for seconds if I have
enough veggies on my plate to beging with. What is gone is the junk--chips,
pria bars and other processed foods that really did not fill me up. I am
eating more dairy servings and more fruit than before. Much more healthier.

Don't think of the eating "until satisfied" as permission to increase your
portion sizes. Start with your normal portions and wait 20 minutes to see if
you really need more food. That's the hard part I think. It was easier for
me to just continue weighing and measuring my foods to keep portion size
under control. Most of the time I don't need more food because I AM
satisfied. Now, eating out is a different story. Here the "eating until
satisfied" needs more work for me as I tend to eat what ever food is in
front of me.

I have also been tracking my points under both plans mostly out of curiosity
plus my excel spreadsheet is set up that way. I am eating roughly the same
points as before just heathier.

I lost 2 pounds last week. Like Laura, I did not increase my portion size -
I was happy the way that was, but I did switch from 1 pt boca burgers to 2-3
pt veggie burgers, and from egg substitutes to real eggs, so I think my
point count is probably up.

Unlike Laura, however, I don't see that I'm eating "heathier". I'm eating
the same amount of veggies, the same amount of wine/beer. What's gone (or
greatly reduced) is the whole wheat bread, tortillas, english muffins. I
don't see any of those foods as unhealthy, just a different type of food.

I do think the higher protein/lower carb ratio did help break me out of a
plateau, so I'm sticking with it for another week (or maybe more). I cannot
see myself staying on this plan as a life choice, so I'm sure I'll go back
to the Flex Points plan.

My one problem with the Core Foods plan is the lack of tools for tracking
those 35 points. Sure there's a little note pad, but it's a pain - it
doesn't reset each day. And, my recipies that I've entered aren't showing up
in the calculator search, so I can't figure points on those if I have more
(or less) than one serving. You also have to reset the 35 points back to
zero yourself, and figure your own activity points.

these are some of my issues. I am also dealing with not journaling as an
acceptable concept. I think I feel out of control when I am not writing it
down. Lee, still working it out

At my meeting last night they had Action sheets available for the 20pt Fast
track. They have been modifed for Flex & Core. This might give you some
ideas as to how to plan your menus around the Core plan.
