I do wonder, you did have Ann Richards and in the past, democratic
senators. What caused the switch totally the other way?

And I don't think Lee needs much more of an invitation to create
havoc! (G)

Temp here, today was a high of about 70F - delightful. Biked from
urban Seattle, along 12 miles of lakeshore, to farm lands and a river
front city in farm country with mountain views.

The plan tomorrow is a mt hike, altho I feel zoned out right now! As
long as I don't have to sit down - fine!

Did a bruising 66.6 (yes, beastly) miles, today. My odo fouled up and
when we got back to my friend's house, she told me to add a mile and
she had 65.6 on her odo!!! Beautiful day which the weatherman did NOT
predict.

the scale was favorable), I say Maintenance is harder. There is no
reward (other than virtue, etc (g), the scale is not going down, folks
slow down the compliments, each week (day actually) requires different
points depending on activity levels. Trying to lose, you generally
are lower in points and not trying to walk that tightrope and balance.

I do keep evaluating whether to stop going to meetings and/or posting
here. As I drove up in the rain this morning in the chill, in shorts,
I was wondering why. Why not just stop going, trying it without and
working the strategies alone. At Weds' meeting the substitute leader
asked me why I was still coming weekly and I said "I've substituted
one addiction for another!"

You come on down here!

Weight-wise, yes, but your locale leaves, me, at least, less than
interested. Hot, humid and no mountains (G) My sister is not exactly
raving about Texas, either its temperature, terrain or politics!!!!

A long distance to ship them.

I recently had home grown brown and green eggs (no ham). The yolks
are so much more yellow and I think the eggs do taste better.

I wonder how the neighborhood cats would take to me raising chickens
(it is allowed in Seattle)

I wonder how your neighbors would like it!

We had neighbors whose rooster crowed all night long. I wanted to climb out
of bed and decapitate the thing!

Last chickens I had really created a cockroach problem around where they
nested. Bummer. Great eggs. Good chicken too, although my daughter was young
then and I had to wrap them all in plastic and make them look like store
bought in order to get her to eat em.

Wow Fred:

I am impressed you biked that much and hiked, good for you. You must have
gained muscle. I can't even imagin riding that far. I think I am doing
good if I ride about 5 miles at a time.

Let's see....

is it?

free but UP

or

up but FREE

I might have just made it on Wed but definitely not on Thurs but it
looked good on Friday (today). Of course, that alone tells you
something. Weight varies daily.

Up since a week ago Tues 0.6 pounds

Current 165.4
Gain 0.6

(what is also interesting, is that last week, the home scale read a
half pound more but this week I weighed more on the WW scale)

What is also interesting is that since last week's WI, I bike rode
approximately 75 miles and hiked 22 miles. And I GAINED!!!!

Fred
219.2/165.4/164 (Lifetime July 2003)
Started WW: Oct 29, 2002

PS: Happy Anniversary to me, Happy Anniversary to me..... (lifetime,
if not exactly at goal)
