Default wants to try low-carb diet

Hello! I've heard much news on the low carb diet and I've noticed new
products in the grocery store that are low-carb. I am wondering what
tactics people have who are on this diet

My approach, for the last year, is ... if it contains carbohydrates, don't
eat it. If it contains sugar alcohol, don't eat it. If it's processed, don't
eat it. Never go hungry. Eat at least six times a day. Use www.fitday.com
for the first few months to train yourself on proper portion control. Do
only moderate exercise until you are within 10 pounds of your goal weight.
Always remind yourself that your goal is not to lose weight. Your goal is to
learn a new way of living, a new way of eating, a new way of life. I
guarentee you, all else will follow including weight loss, dramatically
improved blood readings, lower ldl, higher hdl, lower cholesterol, lower
blood pressure. Hope you give it a try.

It's interesting that you think you can maintain your plan for the rest of
your life while eating absolutely no vegetables.

okay here we go .... with the flaming .... let me be more specific .... and
maybe you can try to be a little more positive ... although I know you are
one of the godess queens on the board ...

by striving for NO carbs ... I ended up, over the last year ... with about
20 carbs per day ... and yes it is difficult for me but I have been trying
to adjust my diet to incorporate more vegetables ... just yesterday I bought
celery, cucumbers, avacodos, fresh spinach, and broccoli ...

so I guess you are trying to make a point, but I think you are just being
rude.

take care,

happy low-carbing
hope you have a better day tomorrow

I'm new at this LC stuff, but your earlier post WAS misleading. How can you
assert someone is flaming you because of your misleading response. I took
you at your word, NO CARBS. However, this appears to be quite different
from Low Carb that you and most in this NG seem to be following. The
remainder of your suggestions is consistent with other postings and seems to
be pretty good information. For that I thank you.
