Osteoporosis is mostly avoided by consistent weight bearing exercise, so it
seems that you'd better butch up and start doing those deadlifts. -- Most people are dumb as bricks; some people are dumber than that. -- MFW "Hannah Gruen" wrote in message ... "JC Der Koenig" wrote So you admit we can get by just fine without eating vegetables, as an optimal diet with no health problems is achieved by virtually no one. JC, I'm surprised at you. Yes, you could get by OK without eating vegetables *if* you are an Inuit, and realizing that there is a high likelihood of osteoporosis setting in at middle age, as well as possible atherosclerosis issues. So long as you keep eating lots of raw fish you'll probably avoid a heart attack, however - all those omega 3 fatty acids, ya know. Just butch up and eat your broccoli and quit looking for loopholes. Osteoporosis is mostly avoided by consistent weight bearing exercise, Nice change of subject, but we were discussing veggies, 'member? Apparently weight bearing exercise wasn't enough to keep osteoporosis at bay for traditional Inuit. They would have been very active, but their very extreme diet still allowed a high rater of osteoporosis. so it seems that you'd better butch up and start doing those deadlifts. I get plenty of exercise, JC, including the resistance stuff. But you still need to eat your vegetables, sonny. HG |

You linked osteoporosis and vegetables. That link is tenuous at best.
You'd be better off linking osteoporosis with weight bearing exercise and sufficient protein. Try to keep up. -- Most people are dumb as bricks; some people are dumber than that. -- MFW "Hannah Gruen" wrote in message ...
