Doug's Week 80 report - back in Japan!
I arrived back in Japan last night. Because I didn't get a good chance
for a weigh-in on Friday morning before breakfast, I will go ahead and use this morning's Tokyo weigh-in for this week. It also gives me a chance to get back to the scale I've been using all along. I'm pleased to report that the scale here also has me in the 70s in kilograms! So it was not just a fluke of one scale I was using in the U.S. Whew! This week my average daily calories came to 1411 calories/day. Since I lost just 0.1 kg = 0.2 lb this week (between 2 scales though, so the actual weekly loss figure should be "asterisked"), this means my CPP (calories per pound per day needed to maintain weight) was 8.7, which is lower than average. My "rolling 4 week average" increased a bit to 1.5 lb/week (because a big gain 4 weeks ago rolled off the stats). My current weight graph is at http://lerner.net/diet/weight20061215.jpg. The latest stats: * Week 80 / Day 560 * This week's loss: 0.1 kg = 0.2 lb * Weight (kg): 125.0 - 79.8 (minus 45.2 kg) * Weight (lb): 275.0 - 175.6 (minus 99.4 lb) * BMI: 41.3 - 26.4 * Percent body mass lost: 36.2% * Percent complete to goal: 98% So I still can't officially claim that I've reached the 100 lb milestone yet - but very very close! I'm just glad that my scale back here in Japan confirmed I'm in the 70s! doug |

Welcome home! Great job making progress while traveling. That's a major
accomplishment. "doug lerner" wrote in message ups.com... I arrived back in Japan last night. The reason? No boredom. There are all sorts of new low-calorie foods to try that I haven't experienced before. In supermarkets and in restaurants. So dieting becomes a treat and an adventure, rather than a chore. doug |

We've been really good about not eating out much lately so when we do I have a hard time being good. Hopefully I can stay focused next week when we go to mom's in Florida for christmas. We've got quite a few eat-outs already planned. I'm just going have to concentrate on fish dishes this vacation. That and watching my portions. |
