I've heard you refer to the Anabolic Diet. What are the key points of it? I
seem to remember reading something about it and a similar approach, called
the Metaboic Diet, in connection with Mauro Di Pasquale. It's basically a
CKD right?

It's like a CKD, but for gaining instead of losing. Basically you low carb
long enough to lose 4 or 5 pounds, depending on how heavy you are (could be
as much as 7 or 8 pounds), and then you carb load (low fat) to gain those
pounds back, plus a couple more, using the theories of superhydration and
supergluconation. Then you repeat this cycle until you reach your goal. It
just basically another zig-zag/stair-step approach, instead of bulking by
eating anything and everything in a linear fashion. It's not done by too
many people because you have to maintain a strict diet type of discipline,
and most people get tired of dietary discipline as a way of life.

I can already do more than 500, but I hope there's nobody heavier than

Wow! 500???? JC is JC, no doubt about it!

500 is not that much. Look up the records for deadlifting.

OK, I have just checked it out. 500 still seems impressive, after a quick
browse I think 500 must put you in the top quantile of all the deadlifers and
definitely the top 5% of the world's population!!! Add to that you don't look
so pumped up compared to men who can lift similar amount of weight, that makes
it even more impressive.

What's your first language, Ada? I don't notice any difference in the way
you write from most other people. I think you write in English very well.

youngsters are really quite harsh. what did you say to them when they referred
to your beer belly?

JC Der Koenig wrote:

At a BMI of 34 I had a serious beer gut, as some of my students loved to

I hate to disagree, but even at local competitions I'm not lifting enough to
win, even in my weight class. Maybe by the time I'm 50, I'll be lifting
enough to compete.
