Oh my Erin, how horrible for you and your daughter!!! I do hope she is feeling

Thanks Joyce. She's healing nicely. The surgeon thinks she won't even
have a scar to show for it.

That's wonderful news Erin, glad she is doing so well. Kids seem to be so good at
bouncing right back, don't they? I think these things are harder on us than they
are on them. And how is mom faring?

Hi Erin,

I read this awhile ago but am just now replying to it and the original went
*poof*). I'm glad your daughter is doing alright but MAN it had to hurt.
Poor thing. Let her know we're thinking of her (and YOU too). *hugs*

They are very resilient creatures. We tried to treat it like a big
adventure and she was very good at seeing it that way. I think
spending the night in hospital was kind of exciting for her...lol...
She's been very good at keeping her finger dry, which can't be very
easy for a child who loves playing in water.

I think these things are harder on us than they
are on them.

I think so. I was more upset when it happened than she was.

Not too bad. Struggling with mild depression at the moment but that's
entirely unrelated. I'm really proud of the way she's handled it all,
although we are more nervous about doors than we used to be.

Thanks Kristin. We're all doing well. She's been really good about
keeping her finger dry and letting the surgeon look at it. Pretty good
for a child that hates strangers looking at her.
