Breakfast is suppose to be the most important meal of the day.
At least that's what *they* say. I'm a breakfast person and actually will
get sick if I don't eat breakfast. Whenever I have had surgeries that
required
not eating breakfast or tests that have to be done while fasting its really
bad.

uh.... if some idiot hadn't cross posted this to all these different
groups,
your ugly discussion wouldn't even be here, as I see you are trying to
flame
the weight groups. Let me ask you something.. people can and do lose
weight.. but what will you ever be able to do to correct your ugliness
inside? It's much worse than fat. You don't go to hell for being
fat,
but a vile soul is what goes to hell. Heal yourself... and while you
are
judging others, remember that when you stand before God you will be
judged
with the same mercy that you used to judge others in life. And it
doesn't
matter if you don't believe in him, that won't keep you from hell, just
help
you get there.

Well.....actually.... you could potentially go to hell for gluttony which
obesity is usually a symptom of and it is usually found with hoarding and
greed (taking more than you need).

You need to get rid of some stereotypes real quick (I see from other
posts that you have a bundle)

First, not everyone here believes in "heaven and hell". Secondly, you
need to do some research. Obesity is not necessarily a symptom of
gluttony, or of harding.

Some people have disorders which cause them to gain weight more
quickly, but it is almost always due to an excess calorie intake.

Its ALWAYS an excess calorie intake, an excess over what they burn.

You didnt get any hippos in concentration camps except
amoungst the guards and those in with the guards.

I agree that "excess calorie intake" does not always mean gluttony.

Many people who become obese do so because
of a certain situation. Personally, blew up to my weight all at one
time. Since then I have never gained another pound. Even though I
have arthritis, I walk two miles every day (yes, in pain) and
excercise regularly. I also eat only two meals per day plus juice in
the am (not a breakfast person). I still have lost no weight per se,
although I have shaped up enough that I can walk around rome (for
example) all day just fine.

Unless you have a disorder which causes you to retain massive amounts
of water for some reason, you will lose weight if you continue to
decrease calorie intake,

You will lose weight even then.

especially if you walk as much as you say you do.

You weren't specific about the general size and content of your two
meals, but juice is extremely caloric and even if you cut that out and
ate an apple or something instead, you would probably see a
difference. Really, no offence to you, but this argument gets kind of
old. It is a scientifically proven fact that you cannot maintain a
certain weight (heavy or thin) regardless of caloric intake. If you
incrementally increase or decrease your daily food amounts you will
alsways see a change eventually.

Yep, thats why there werent any hippos in concentration camps.

Going through life fat (or skinny) and bitter is no way to live though,
get jolly dammit. I hate almost equally the habitual dieters that complain
over the same 5# year after year. BORING.

Well, while I am not bitter I am certainly not a "jolly" person,
sorry

I don't get where that stereotype comes from either.

Bull****. Thats as silly as your ludicrous claim that it isnt
possible for you to drive a car with you alone in the car
without music playing etc.

Ugh, I don't know how you low carbers do it. I could never give up the
carb foods. My American friends are all on this, they have it rough in the
land of pasta and rice. Don't consume more fuel than you need. I listen to
my stomach (sometimes literally), if I'm hungry I eat stop when I'm full. I
suppose I could lose a few, but I won't vex over it, like food too much to
give it up and besides diets put me in a bad mood.

You don't understand low carb so should stay out of this conversation.

My oldest sister is over 600 pounds. Her legs will not even hold her
up anymore. She has her own scooter but she even relies on it now to
go from the couch to the toilet and back to the couch again in her own
apartment.

A sad way to live IMO.

Jaime

How does that happen to somemone? It must be a nightmare of a life.
In fact it's not really even living if you ask me.

You are right on with that comment. I have been posting her for 4
years and the idiots have made laughable assumptions about me as
well.

Just chalk it up to their lack of intelligence and move on. By the
way, welcome to SSFA. One can have a great time here in spite of
idiots if one has a strong kill file. Believe me, nothing an idiot
says is worth your time unless you want it to be.
