My Dreamfields Experience
I've been eating very modest carb levels this past week since upping my
Metformin so I wasn't sure what it was doing, but when I had some fresh grown corn on the cob last night (first of the season and an important annual ritual) I was at 115 at 1 hour. So it looks like the new dose of Met definitely curbs the post-prandial rise. I'm hoping that after a couple of weeks on this new dose I might see a drop in the fasting levels. That would imply a drop in the insulin resistance and would be very good news for my cardiovascular system since that high insulin promotes overgrowth of the walls of the blood vessels.
