Thanks. I still think I was far too heavy to be showing so much skin.
And the red hair is kind of . . . um. Yeah. Here's a bit more of the story on that dress. This was right around the time my boyfriend back then was starting to pay a little too much attention to the girl he eventually cheated on me with. The first one anyway. She sent him a picture of herself in a red dress. A red vinyl dress, actually. Skin tight. Shiny. I have to admit I was thinking a bit about her, and his appreciation of her dress, when I bought that one. The night I wore it out, he said to me that I reminded him of her in that dress, except, and I quote "You have the figure to pull it off." By then, unfortunately, it was far too late for a dress to save that relationship. In article , "Cheri" gserviceatinreachdotcom wrote: I think you looked great with the red hair and the red dress, and you have every reason to be proud of your weight loss. It's always interesting to me that people who mock somebody elses pictures, are usually people who don't post pictures of themselves, and are usually screaming for "support." -- Cheri "Ann" wrote: I just saw your photo with the flaming red hair not to mention the tacky red dress. The dress is an interesting phenomenon. I was so excited to get down to a size were I could shop in "normal" stores, I was so excited that people were noticing I'd lost weight, that I decided to wear something extreme, something I never would have worn before. It's interesting how my perceptions of myself changed, because now that I'm even smaller than that, I look at it like "Man, I can't believe I was still so fat." But at the time I thought I was looking pretty hot, lol! I dress more conservatively now, I guess because the novelty of losing weight has worn off, and I'm finally starting to become just comfortable with being me. -- http://www.mindspring.com/~lunachick |

I remember when you first came to the newsgroup. I really loved your
enthusiasm and your stories of the successes and the struggles. I still do, and I still like the red dress and the red hair. :-) -- Cheri Luna wrote in message ... Thanks. I still think I was far too heavy to be showing so much skin. And the red hair is kind of . . . um. Yeah. |

The second link is to an actual product, Bob's Red Mill's Low Carb Bread Machine Mix. But deep down, the question is one that could be answered with a little googling, or even google searching this group. IMHO, the marketplace of ideas can answer the question as well, if not better than, the current group of posters in the community (no offense intended). On the "I don't open tinyurl links": Get over it. Not everyone is out to get you. In fact, the vast majority are not. I've posted here, on and off since mid-2002 without anyone's computer blowing up as a result of anything I did. Or you could just google "low carb bread machine" and be done with it. Get a threaded newsreader or activate the threaded view. I had
absolutely no problem figuring out who/what Ann was responding to. As for JC - I knew the minute I opened this thread the first response would be from JC "Bread is not low-carb" - he is about as predictable as a trained chimp. Luna wrote: Who are you talking to? You may be ignorant, so I will let you know that when you respond to a post in usenet, you need to quote the part of the post you're responding to, and the attribution, otherwise no one will know what you're talking about. If it's JC, he didn't insult you, and he's not ignorant. One of the things informed (not ignorant) people do when entering a newsgroup for the first time is to read the FAQ, and search Google Groups to see if your question has already been answered. If you'd done that research, you would have expected JC's response. You could post in here that figuring out how to change the oil in your car by yourself was a piece of cake, and JC would let you know that cake is not low-carb. It's no biggie, just his way. -- http://www.mindspring.com/~lunachick |

Just to clarify, I didn't mean to offend or insult your looks. You're a
cute girl. When I first lost weight some years ago and developed some nice muscle tone, I got a kick out of taking some photos (polaroids) too of myself, some flexing my muscles. I wanted a record of it for later, when the years passed and I was 100 or so. I just didn't put them on the internet. But that's just me. I suppose I'm a bit on the introverted side. So I apologize for the attack. I was a bit ticked off at your comments after the JC response. Depending on my mood at the time, I will either let such a thing go, respond with sarcasm or just give as good as I get. I'm only human after all. And I'm rather frustrated with the bread thing. Ann The red hair was a phase. I don't like it anymore, but I'm not ashamed of it. The dress is an interesting phenomenon.
