Joined the Gym
Hi all...
Well I'm down two sizes since I started and once I hit Phase 2 of Southbeach Diet, I stalled. Very, very frustrating. I joined a gym tonight with a friend who is a personal trainer who told me she'd train me for nothing. I am looking foward to this because I need some motivation to keep going and I think working out with a friend who knows what she's doing is going to help out a lot. Just thought I'd share. Wish me luck. She put me on a 6 day a week schedule for the first two weeks. -- Sheli |

I do want to say to make sure you don't get in to overtraining mode. This is very common with people who are new to working out. It is also one of the biggest causes of people quitting their training program. Now realize that many people do train 6 days a week, but also realize that most of these people started at 3 days a week with a rest day in between each workout. Then after a while, you split your workout to a 2 day or 3 day rotation and increase the number of exercises you do per body part. I'm not in any way trying to discourage you from working out, but just make sure that you don't fall into this scenario. Good luck to you, and hopefully you'll find that working out can be addictive. Once you get that feeling, you'll be hooked. Chris |

Hi Chris,
I am actually a Recreation Therapist and have some training in fitness. The plan is to do lower body and upper body on alternate days. Some weight training, some cardio, etc. They will lay it out for me on paper and once I have it I'll get some opinions. Thank you so much for your concern as I completely understand what you are saying. -- Sheli "c" wrote in message ... "guitarprincess" wrote in message . net... Hi all...
