Well my eye was almost swollen shut and I ended up seeing my doctor. He
stated that it is in my system and my body will most likely have the rashes
pop up all over the place. I can't remember the term used. Anyway he put
me on Prednisone (steroid) for 9 days.

I don't like taking this drug. BRBR

My mother took prednisone when she was battling Chrone's disease, a nasty
intestinal autoimmune disease. She took it for many months. It changed her
body, she gained weight, her neck and face swelled to where she didn't
recognize herself in the mirror. It was a very upsetting experience for her.
It didn't control her Chrone's and she finally had surgery.

She hasn't used prednisone for many years now and fortunately has lost the
thick neck and "hump". It didn't take long for her to return to normal.

I hope you won't have to take this drug for long, Curt, but if you do, you'll
probably snap back quickly.

You have my sympathy. I took prednisone for 3 days to see if it would
help my colitis. It was like I was on speed--was wired something
awful. Thank God, I only had to take it for a few days. I feel sorry
for anyone who must take it longer. Hang in there.

My doctor prescribed it for me for 2 weeks to get my arthritis under control. I
was WIRED! I cleaned the closet for 3 days

I'm impressed. 30 miles at night. Too bad about going down though. How
fast were you going?

Not all that fast. Maybe 10-12 mph.

I cleaned the house so many times I can't count. I am running around like
maniac. I only have two more days on it. I am always hungry and my stomach
isn't quite right. Drinking Guinness is a help. I am not drinking that
much, just to take the edge off and help with the stomach.

Take care,
Curt

I don't like taking this drug. I am way too awake (jittery) and have
trouble sleeping without having a few drinks. I am hungry all the time and
it isn't just some little huger spell. I am HUNGRY!

I'm on prednisone right now too. I got really, REALLY sick and ended up with
Bells Palsy, so half my face is paralyzed. It's supposed to reduce the
inflammation around my facial nerves. I ****ing HATE this drug. I'm not jittery
at all, my heart is pounding like I just ran a marathon, and I'm exhausted all
the damn time. I wouldn't even take it, but I'd really like to be able to close
my left eye, or smile without looking like a drooling idiot. And eating is so
fun when you bite your mouth constantly, drinks falling out the side of my
mouth is fun too. I haven't gained any weight, but I certainly haven't lost any
either. I had wanted to be at goal by Christmas. Right now my goal is to stay
under 160. And to regain use of my face. It's all too damn frustrating.
