CoffeeSlender
I don't know if this stuff is only available in the EU or not.
http://www.coffeeslender.com/ It is instant coffee made from green coffee beans. The chemistry is such that it has the effect of stabilizing the blood sugar and holding it steady at the desired low level for eliminating hunger pangs and craving and hence for aiding weight loss. I've only been drinking it for a few days, but it certainly seems to be working, at least with respect to eliminating hunger pangs and cravings. On the container it says this: "CoffeeSlender is a patented nutritional supplementdeveloped in Norway. CoffeeSlender contains high quality coffee and the unique extract called Svetol. "This extract is based on green coffee beans and through advanced methods of extraction is concentrated and purified. Svetol contains large amounts of active ingrediaents. Medical studies show that use of CoffeeSlender results in reduced blood glucose and weight reduction." Well, that last sentence is badly worded. I haven't been using it long enough to say anything about weight reduction, but it does seem to be squelching my craving for cookies. And the part about "high quality" coffee is a bit misleading. As instant coffees go, this one isn't as good as Nescafe, but it's not bad. I don't know if it's available outside the EU yet or not. |

I paid about $57 for 200g, supposedly enough for one month. |

I bought a box of green tea bags - but no where on the box does it say
whether there is caffeine or not in it. Does anyone know if green tea normally does or does not have caffeine? Diane |

Different caffeine drinks (even unsweetend) are said to have different
effects on Blood Glucose and insulin issues, tho different studies find different results. Diane You can get caffeine free green tea, just check for that designation. I bought some fantastic Candy Cane Lane Holiday Decaf Green Tea made by Celestial Seasonings. 0 carbs, lovely peppermint flavor and tastes like a warm candy cane. I added a half pkg of Splenda to mine, very yummy! |
