Walden Farms - 0 Carb Salad Dressing -- Fact or Fiction?
"CarbAddict" wrote in message
... Has anybody heard of these people. Their label clearly advertises "No carbs" and also has "0 carbs" on the nutritional information. I'm eating it (Thousand Island), but it seems like a mislabeling or a cheat of some sort. Anybody else used this? I got some Carb Options 0 carb Salad Dressing yesterday at the Krogers. I did notice that Hidden Valley Ranch has only 1 carb so i'll stick with it. |

Walden Farms - 0 Carb Salad Dressing -- Fact or Fiction?
I use Walden Farms BBQ Sauce, Tastes Great..
Their Ketchup is awful. Have not tried the salad Dressing, but see no need to as most Salad Dressing have minimal Carbs. I do not know what salad dressings you use, but your post prompted me to look at the salad dressings we have in the house. They range from 4 - 12 grams of carbs for each 2 tablespoon serving, with the exception of a hidden valley ranch with only 1 gram (it expired in 1997, so needless to say, it hit the trash). I have tried the Walden Farms dressings, and they are good, if a bit pricey. I would rather mix 2 parts oil, 1 part red wine vinegar, 1 packet of splenda and a little bit of Mrs. Dash. It costs a lot less and tastes delicious. |

Look at Kraft Ranch (I like the 3-cheese ranch) and Creamy Caesar (I like the one with bacon) varieties as well as some of the Marie's (produce section). The Kraft ones have 1 gm carb per tablespoon. Some of the Marie's have 0 gm. (I think the bleu cheese is one of them). Lee |

Walden Farms - 0 Carb Salad Dressing -- Fact or Fiction?

: I noticed Italian and Ranch seem to be the lowest in carbs. I'll eat them if I have to, but they aren't my preference. I've noticed that Newman's Own often has fewer carbs than the same dressing in a different brand. His Creamy Ceasar has only one. Also creamy garlic dressings often have just one or two. Marie's are great.. and so thick that you can thin them by half or more with
water, make it a more pourable dressing, with no effect to the taste! Teeb "Lee" wrote in message om... "Slader" wrote in message .. .
