Default Week 24 Report - and a milestone report!

This week I lost 2.6 lb. I'm down a total of 47.5 lb now after 24 weeks.

This was a good week all around. I got in lots (for me) of daily exercise,
and my average (net, after exercise) daily calories were a bit under 1500
calories/day. I haven't experienced hunger because I save calories to snack
on during the times of day I know I get the munchies - like 3-5 pm and later
in the evening while winding down.

Here are the numbers:

* Day 168 / Week 24
* This weeks loss: 1.2 kg = 2.6 lb
* Weight (lb): 275.0 - 227.5 (minus 47.5 lb)
* Milestone! Into the 220s!
* Weight (kg): 125.0 - 103.4 (minus 21.6 kg)
* BMI: 41.3 - 34.2
* Percent body mass lost: 17.3%
* Percent completed to goal: 47%

My current graph is at http://lerner.net/diet/weight20051118.jpg

Here is a summary of my diet method again, for reference:

(1) Low-cal plus exercise - 1700 calories/day limit plus 1000 weekly bonus
calories (avoids frustration of strict daily limit)

(2) Can carryover leftover calories to next day (add to bonus)

(3) Can subtract logged exercise calories from daily calorie intake (an
incentive to exercise)

(4) Bonus is reset each Friday to 1000 + anything leftover from 1700x7
calories from the week before.

Sounds like an excellent week, Doug! Congratulations!

(I, on the other hand, am getting too little sleep, spending too much
time driving and the rest sitting on my butt doing an audit, and not
getting enough exercise. Oh well.... the eating part has been fairly
decent.)

Congratulations Doug. You're having great success with your program. I
think it's a great idea to save a few calories for those times of day when
you know you'll get those munchies. My time always seems to be around 3:00
in the afternoon when I usually have the mini microwave popcorn and a diet
Pepsi. That combo just seems to hit the spot for me.

Thanks, Beverly.

I usually have one - sometimes two! - of those mini microwave popcorns every
evening. My sister just sent me two boxes with 10 of them each!

I love those mini microwave popcorn bags! It definitely hits the spot (and
only 1 point for the 94% fat free ones). I have been eating a bag on days I
work out or in the evening if I'm still hungry.

I'm glad to hear you were able to get some of the popcorn shipped to you. I
can't imagine living without itG

As of a couple of weeks ago the convenience stores here in Tokyo started
selling Orville Redenbacher's microwave popcorn too! But the three varieties
sold have 180-212 calories per bag in them (not the 94% fat free kind). They
can act as a bridge though while waiting for restocking from the U.S.

As always, congratulations

BTW, I don't know that I've posted this before (and please excuse me if
I'm repeating myself) but I think htat your weekly bonus is a pretty
cool idea.
