Weird medical question

Mark & Steven Bornfeld DDS wrote: Why not ask him? He'll probably appreciate the concern. Sounds like an epileptic seizure, and the timing may be coincidental--or not. Could be, but people often have brief seizure-like activity after/during syncopal (fainting) episodes. Correct. What he described sounds exactly like what I've seen many times during syncopal episodes. Same thing happens in the initial stages of cardiac arrest, or anything else that causes inadequate perfusion of the brain. Unless he has a prior history of seizures or it happens again, I would chalk it up to a fainting episode. Would agree. The mistake the bystanders made was standing him back up. Correct. When someone faints, leave them lying where they fall until they're able to stand on their own. Merely being horizontal almost always "cures" the problem quickly since it restores adequate blood flow to the brain. However, don't forget the ABCs: Airway - make sure they have an unobstructed airway. Breathing - make sure they are breathing otherwise they will need artificial respiration. Cardiac - make sure they have a pulse otherwise they will need chest compressions. And yes, the fall itself can be dangerous. I've seen people die of the head injuries they sustained from a simple fainting episode. Yes, that is very likely what happened to Dr. Atkins although the "fainting" would have been probably from a cardiac arrest. Servant to the humblest person in the universe, Andrew -- Dr. Andrew B. It appears that Chung's "truth Discernment" forgot that Atkins slipped on an icy sidewalk - or he's still trying to push that old propaganda about Atkins. He and MU_skrat have posted some wonderfully scurrilous "truth" about the whole situation. Right up to outright falsehoods. Show of hands. Who's surprised...? Bob |

What bothers me is that you turn so many people against that wh ich you believe with your pretentiousness and deliberate annoying ways. The Apostle Matthew wrote about people who profess Christ yet glorify their own works. Take Heed, Andrew. MAT 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? MAT 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Think about these Scriptures next time that you crosspost a message in order to glorify yourself. |

Sorry my choice to be *bold* about Christ bothers you. The Apostle Matthew wrote about people who profess Christ yet glorify their own works. Yes, he did. Take Heed, Andrew. Christ knows what is in my heart. He also knows what is in *your* heart. It remains my choice to walk with Christ whom I love with all of my heart, soul, and mind. Think about these Scriptures next time that you crosspost a message in order to glorify yourself. All that I do or write is by His command and for His glory. You remain in my prayers, dear neighbor whom I love. May you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, someday, so that you too will have eternal life and the unimaginable riches of His everlasting kingdom.
