Default Splenda Tablets - Can we get them in the US & Canada?

I neglected to include the link for the Canada Splenda page for anyone
interested that lives in Canada. Here it is:

http://66.38.175.38/splenda/eng/popu...%20SPLENDA*%3F

Again the US page is:

http://www.splenda.com/index.jhtml

I started a new thread because the original thread was high jacked by
numerous off topic posts. I only posted this information because I
know that there are many people that prefer Splenda to all the other
artificial sweeteners. I also know that Splenda is available in
tablet form in many countries, but not the US and Canada. It is also
true the Equal and the generic substitutes are available in packets,
bulk, AND tablets. I don't believe I am the only diabetic that
travels and eats out often. I do know that Splenda in not available
at many restaurants. When I am on a long business trip or vacation, I
don't want to depend on the restaurant or company I am visiting to
have Splenda. Carrying or packing a bunch of Splenda packets is not
as convenient and carrying a container of bulk is not practical. A
small container of tablets is very practical in those situations.
Splenda tablets are not a "new" product. The product is already made.
It just is not offered in the US and Canada. Equal is available in
many forms including tablets so it must make a profit. Each of the
forms, packets, bulk, and tablets have their uses. If you don't want
the product, simply don't contact the company. If you want to carry
packets or containers of bulk Splenda to restaurants or when you
travel, don't contact the company. However, if you would use Splenda
tablets, contact the company and tell them. My purpose for posting
this information was to help people in the US and Canada that might
find the availability of Splenda tablets would be useful to their
lifestyle.

This is the response I received from McNeil Canada:

Thank you for your recent e-mail concerning SPLENDA* Low-calorie
Sweetener.

At present SPLENDA* Tablets are marketed only in the United Kingdom.
We thank you very much for your comments. We have an active product
research and development department that works on developing new
products and improving current products in Canada. This may be
something that they are already looking into.

On behalf of McNeil Consumer Healthcare, thank you for contacting us.

Sincerely,

Sarah

My wife always carries a container of Splenda tablets. She obtained
hers by mail from Australia. Splenda is the only artificial sweetener
that does not have a warning label .
