Default ice cream

The Skinny Cow chocolate peanut butter is very good.
Blue Bunny makes a very tasty Butter Pecan.

Blu Bunny Carb Freedom Ice Cream is sweetened with Splenda - have mint
chocolate chip in freezer now and it tastes pretty good.

Thanks, Diane. NO sugar alcohols? I'll look for it and check it out.
Linda

Um, no. Blue Bunny Carb Freedom has sugar alcohols and they warn
about a laxitive effect if you eat too much. From their own website
on the Double Strawberry Flavor:

http://www.iscreamteam.com/delightful/cf/dblStrawb.html
================================================== ==================
Ingredients: Milk Fat and Nonfat Milk, Strawberries {Strawberries,
Lactitol, Polydextrose, Water, Maltodextrin, Glycerin, Pectin, Food
Acids (Phosphoric, Citric, Malic, Tartaric), Natural Flavors, Sodium
Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate as Preservatives, Sucralose},
Strawberry Revel (Sorbitol, Strawberries, Maltodextrin, Water, Natural
Flavor, Pectin, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Red 40, Sucralose, Blue 1,
Potassium Sorbate as Preservative), Water, Sorbitol, Inulin,
Polydextrose, Whey Protein Isolate, Glycerine, Microcrystalline
Cellulose, Cellulose Gum, Natural Strawberry Flavor, Mono &
Diglycerides, Sucralose.
Allergen Information: Contains milk.
Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect in sensitive persons.
================================================== =====================

So while it has Splenda (Sucralose), it also contains Lactitol,
Glycerin and Sorbitol. The Chocolate Almond Fudge is the same. The
Mint Chip has the Sorbitol and Glycerine but replaces the Lactitol
with Mannitol. The Vanilla Bean and Butter Pecan don't have the
Lactitol or the Mannitol, but they both still have Sorbitol and
Glycerin and carry the warning about the laxitive effect.

It hasn't bothered me nearly at all - but whenever I eat anything with
maltitol - I get severe stomach problems. So for me - this one is ok.

I learned the hard way with the Atkins chocolate chip mint ice cream. I have
NEVER had a problem with any frankenfoods, until this one. I gave me horrible
gas and a bloaty feeling for hours. I wonder what's different about it as
opposed to the rest of the line?
